WMA Leads AWEA Panel

Wind Marketing Alliance to Facilitate AWEA WINDPOWER 2011 Expert Marketing Panel

Fargo, N.D. / Grevenbroich, Germany (Jan. 11, 2010) – The Wind Marketing Alliance (WMA) will lead an Expert Marketing Panel discussion on Jan. 19, 2011 for companies exhibiting at the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) WINDPOWER 2011 Conference and Exhibition. The panel discussion will be part of the day-long WINDPOWER 2011 Exhibitor Meeting at the Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim, Calif. WINDPOWER 2011 will be held in Anaheim May 22-25, 2011.

The panel event will focus on how exhibitors can get the most value out of their participation and booth space before, during and after WINDPOWER, along with other marketing-related topics. It will feature experts from the event marketing industry, AWEA member companies that have marketed successfully in conjunction with WINDPOWER, and members of AWEA’s marketing, public relations and business services teams.

Nearly 1,400 companies will exhibit during WINDPOWER 2011, and AWEA expects representatives from 100-125 exhibitor companies to participate in the January marketing discussion. AWEA is planning a webinar in February to highlight sessions from the Exhibitor Meeting and review content from the Expert Marketing Panel for exhibitors who are unable to attend.

"AWEA looks forward to WMA leadership of the marketing panel at our Exhibitor Meeting in Anaheim," said Lori Rugh, AWEA’s director of marketing and sales. "Their expertise in the wind industry combined with in-depth knowledge of marketing will provide a huge benefit to our exhibitors."

WMA partner Travis Kurtz will facilitate the panel discussion. Panelists include Tim Wagner, principal, Innovative Association Solutions, Alexandra, Va.; Lisa VanRosendale, senior vice president of sales, Immersa Marketing, San Francisco; Jeff Grabner, director of wind sales, Cardinal Fastener & Specialty Co., Cleveland; Peter Kelley, vice president of public affairs, AWEA, Washington, D.C.; Tonney Insley, AWEA manager of marketing and business services; and a large exhibitor representative.
